It should come as no surprise that a product called “Better Than Noodles”, which is made by a brand called “Better Than Foods”, would be, in fact, better in one sense or another than most noodles on the market. But what makes it better, and just how much better is it, really? Allow for us to explain, and to blow your mind.
To fully paint this picture, a noodle comparison was needed, and sorry, Ka Me, but your Hokkien Stir-Fry Noodles were chosen simply because the Better than Noodles package mentions stir-fry, and a quick Google search dictated that you are the gold standard of stir-fry noodles (at least you won that!). We’ll go easy on you (promise 😉), and we’ll make it quick.
Your mind is probably semi-blown and the pasta water is probably semi-boiling by now, so we continue. Why, exactly, are we seeing such staggering stats? Made from konjac flour, Better Than Foods products are similar to traditional shirataki products, but theirs are supercharged: the konjac fiber is mixed oat fiber, which results in, you guessed it, even MORE fiber! The result: a very low calorie product that contains fiber, has ZERO net carbs, and boasts a more similar appearance and texture to traditional pasta, noodle, and rice products.
