Red wine before bed can help you lose weight.
Grab the merlot, new research out of Washington State University is something to toast about! Red wine contains the antioxidant resveratrol, which is being revealed as having beneficial weight-loss properties. A recent study by Washington State University has found that resveratrol prompts brown-like fat synthesis in place of white fat. Brown fat in the body can be used as an on-hand energy source for burning calories (“burning fat”) and generating heat, whereas white fat is the unwanted form, used to store fat, which clings to your body. Furthermore, studies show that the resveratrol in wine suppresses your appetite, so drinking wine before bed makes it less likely that you’ll reach for a late-night snack.
