Grilled Cheesy “Bread”


INGREDIENTS (serves 4):

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp herbs de Provence or Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fat-free shredded cheddar cheese

    1. Turn sandwich maker on to heat.
    2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk until smooth. 
    3. Once sandwich maker is ready, coat both sides with nonstick cooking spray. Pour half the batter in (so it’s 1/2 – 3/4 full) and follow directions on sandwich maker to cook cheesy bread to desired doneness. 
    4. Remove cheesy bread triangle from sandwich maker and repeat step 3 until all batter is used. Serve warm. 

    Serves 4, 2 sandwich triangles per serving. This is a Step 1 Approved recipe.
