Basil Bloody Mary

This savory cocktail is a cool weather classic!

INGREDIENTS (serves 2):

  • 3 ounces vodka
  • 1 1 ⁄4 cups tomato juice
  • 1 ⁄4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Worcester sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish 
  • Pinch black pepper
  • Celery, for garnish

PREPARATIONS:

  1. In a pitcher, combine the vodka, tomato juice, basil, lemon juice, Worcester sauce, Tabasco Sauce, horseradish and pepper. Pour into glasses filled with ice, and garnish with a stalk of celery, pickle, shrimp, lemon or whatever else you see fit (the more the merrier!)
